What is new!

Math In Math, we are learning to add and subtract two digit numbers using a variety of strategies. Some of the strategies are: ·      Making Ten ·      Doubles ·      Doubles plus One We will be solving word problems and learning how to figure out what each word problem is asking of us.	Language In Writing, we are working on our persuasive letter writing unit.  Learning the different parts of a letter and what you need to include to persuade the reader your opinion is important.  Our next writing unit will be on non-fiction text features and why they are important to the reader.
Science In Science, we are starting our unit on Animals.  In this unit, we will be researching about different types of animals and what makes them special from other animals.  This will tie into our non-fiction writing unit.	Health In Health, we are learning about Healthy Eating and about the four food groups – Fruits and Vegetables, Meat and Alternatives, Dairy Products, and Grains.
